Bright colors abound in the CAP thrift store these days. The great segment on TV sent a flurry of donations, so bring a friend for some great deals.

Every Tues in November there is 50% off any ONE item under 25.00.

There are THREE 1/2 price days as well. Downloading the calender has been a problem, but if you email me it can be sent individually.


This large sweater is in the mens section, but it would look good on a woman as well. It is only 4.00!



All, proceeds benefit the animals at Citizens for Animal Protection.

This large soft sided suitcase is only 25.00. Save money while holiday traveling this year. 

This unusual tray is multipurpose and deceptively sturdy-only 6.00










Sister, one of the resident cats says "Don't even think of buying anything in this stack.
There are great buys all over the store. Now scram!" :)









In a do it yourself blog recently there was a neat way to make a faux transom with a long mirror turned sideways and painted strips of wood applied to it.
These pillows attached in a line in a similiar fashion would make a nice, inexpensive headboard!

1/2 price day at CAP thrift store TODAY!

Ok, they let Hendricks think you are shopping just to keep him in this lifestyle, but you are actually helping lots of shelter animals. Four adult cats live at the thrift store and there are usually kittens in foster cages for adoption;100% of the proceeds benefit dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, even reptiles at times.

At times people will say "Is that cat real?" Hendricks says "Don't get between me and the food bowl or you will get hurt" :)

 This ringneck parakeet was adopted recently at CAP. Birds and bunnies require not only dry food but fresh veggies as well.

Anna is undergoing expensive heartworm treatment before adoption. Unlike many other shelters and rescues, CAP arranges for experienced foster homes and treatment so adopters are not faced with a sick dog and  expenses. Your donations and shopping at the CAP thrift store supports this extensive work.

The 3rd Thursday of the month is 1/2 price day. That's today! That's almost everything in the store-just a few exceptions. Check it out.

It is 300.00 and in very good condition.

Fun and functional things in at CAP thrift store!

This lovely vase is 17" tall and 30.00.



Up to four small dogs could fit in this luxurious stroller by Pet Gear.
It is in excellent condition and 100.00




These polished metal chairs are perfect for smaller environments; deceptively sturdy. For only 100.00, 6 of them, all in good condition.

Christiechase@blogspot.com  is a delightful blog by an interior design consultant in the Heights. Reading back posts made me think "She needs to know about the CAP thrift store for great buys". With some kind of special every day and open 7 days a week, it's a wonderful place for DIY ers.

Several professional home stagers also frequent the thrift store.

In one post, Christie shows where she enhanced an outside area with a mirror and showed where she got the idea! Read that, then visit the CAP thrift store on Friday, Sept 23rd when mirrors are 1/2 price. You might find an unexpected find for your patio or pool area.

1/2 price day at CAP thrift store Thursday Sept 15th

A store full of great buys awaits you tomorrow!

Everything is 1/2 price, but what caught my eye today in particular is a whole section of small appliances.

From a bread maker, to microwaves, bagel toaster, waffle irons, a new set of those clay pots for making bread, all are there. Many of these items are novelty, not used often so we don't want to spend a bunch on them..Wow, on 1/2 price day they are a steal! The bagel toaster is only 5.00, the waffle iron is only 4.00.
There was also a toaster oven and a couple of toasters. Be sure and look up over the sink area to the left of the appliances. There is a long shelf full of
other kitcheny items:)

Books, furniture, Halloween items, lamps, shoes... and all nicely stocked in categories  as well as 2 dressing rooms..

WIde variety of quality shoes at CAP thrift store PART 1

Shoes in thrift stores are often poor quality and very worn out-there are some great styles and good quality here..
