1/2 price day at CAP thrift store honoring veterans on 11/11/2011

Here are some smaller items guaranteed to freshen the look of your home.

Prices quoted are their regular retail. ( think all items featured qualify for 1/2 price on Friday, but not sure)

Pink adds a vibrant tone especially when paired with black and quite dramatic with black and turquoise! a great way to battle cold weather dreariness....also fun in a teenagers room...regular retail is 40.00

These end tables are 45.00 and one is sold. The little cat seat below is 25.00 regular retail.

It is difficult to phtograph mirrors, this one is very striking "in person"

12x24 it is only 15.00 (regular retail)

This vintage chair is 40.00 regular retail.

There is also a nice grey office chair on wheels for only 10.00. The picture did not turn out.

They have specials every day and have items in many categories. All proceeds benefit the animals at Citizens for Animal Protection.

Luxury in a thrift store? You bet, at CAP thrift store!

This sofa is absolutely stunning! I wonder what the donor move UP to, if this was recycled. It is in excellent condition and not going to be marked down, so find a truck and hurry to get this jewel! The camera did not capture the richness of this sofa..or maybe the camera operator.....400.00

This unusual pictorial rendering of a parrot did not come in with the sofa but would look great above it or near it. It is only 80.00 and is as stunning as the sofa.
It is high up on a back wall at the thrift store so look for it and see how well
the pairing would be. It is difficult to showcase the quality of paintings, pictures and mirrors in a photograph, this needs a personal visit.

Several regular customers collect shell items so I hope they see these shadow boxes. On the back wall above the stacked pictures and frames, they are 8.00 and 10.00.

For all of you animal lovers out there, here are lots of collectibles in a range of prices. The best part is, none of them need heartworm or flea prevention or even litter boxes!

Sunday Nov 6 is 1/2 price day! Most items really 1/2 price.

Also the thrift store will be collecting dry puppy and kitten food for the shelter pets from now until Thanksgiving, please help feed an orphan.

Please come and support the CAP thrift store

Some eye catching things at CAP thrift store

`

Bright colors abound in the CAP thrift store these days. The great segment on TV sent a flurry of donations, so bring a friend for some great deals.

Every Tues in November there is 50% off any ONE item under 25.00.

There are THREE 1/2 price days as well. Downloading the calender has been a problem, but if you email me it can be sent individually.

This large sweater is in the mens section, but it would look good on a woman as well. It is only 4.00!

All, proceeds benefit the animals at Citizens for Animal Protection.

This large soft sided suitcase is only 25.00. Save money while holiday traveling this year.

This unusual tray is multipurpose and deceptively sturdy-only 6.00

Sister, one of the resident cats says "Don't even think of buying anything in this stack.
There are great buys all over the store. Now scram!" :)

In a do it yourself blog recently there was a neat way to make a faux transom with a long mirror turned sideways and painted strips of wood applied to it.
These pillows attached in a line in a similiar fashion would make a nice, inexpensive headboard!
Only 4.00 each

HUGE suitcase in excellent condition, on wheels, pockets everywhere, only 45.00

1/2 price day at CAP thrift store TODAY!

Ok, they let Hendricks think you are shopping just to keep him in this lifestyle, but you are actually helping lots of shelter animals. Four adult cats live at the thrift store and there are usually kittens in foster cages for adoption;100% of the proceeds benefit dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, even reptiles at times.

At times people will say "Is that cat real?" Hendricks says "Don't get between me and the food bowl or you will get hurt" :)

This ringneck parakeet was adopted recently at CAP. Birds and bunnies require not only dry food but fresh veggies as well.

Anna is undergoing expensive heartworm treatment before adoption. Unlike many other shelters and rescues, CAP arranges for experienced foster homes and treatment so adopters are not faced with a sick dog and  expenses. Your donations and shopping at the CAP thrift store supports this extensive work.

The 3rd Thursday of the month is 1/2 price day. That's today! That's almost everything in the store-just a few exceptions. Check it out.
