Top is a 3 1/2 year old black and white female. I have forgetten her name but her foster mom is Karen and the staff can find her for you.
The grey and white 4 year old is Misty and she is my foster. She is VERY afffectionate and gets along with dogs as well.


There are lots of nice home furnishings for half price on Monday, Sept 10th. These elephant pillows are only 10.00 each and the sleek elevated chair is only 30.00. Almost the entire store is half off!

Madeline at the thrift store came up with this gracefully flowing combo of prints. They are connected but wonderfully NOT matchy matchy. I can see them not just on a wall but underneath a stairway that has been neglected or to help create a garden room atmsophere.

Their combined price is 85.00 so Monday the whole ensemble is only 42.50.

Great Thanksgiving meal accessories at CAP thrift store

This petite themed gravy boat is perfect for small holiday get togethers. Ladle opening is in the back. This is only 9.00!

This serving tray is decorative as well as sturdily functional and only 10.00.

These vibrant colors owe nothing to the photographer or camera; these medium sized plates are really that eye popping! Equally eye popping, they are only 2.00 each. The smaller square leafed saucers/coasters/multipurpose pieces in the back are also only 2.00 each as well.

These gold chargers are simple in design, so can be easily paired with other chargers in gold or other colors. They are only 8.00 because there are only 7 of them, so a great buy for a small gathering.

Luxury in a thrift store? You bet, at CAP thrift store!

 This sofa is absolutely stunning! I wonder what the donor move UP to, if this was recycled. It is in excellent condition and not going to be marked down, so find a truck and hurry to get this jewel! The camera did not capture the richness of this sofa..or maybe the camera operator.....400.00



This unusual pictorial rendering of a parrot did not come in with the sofa but would look great above it or near it. It is only 80.00 and is as stunning as the sofa.
It is high up on a back wall at the thrift store so look for it and see how well
the pairing would be. It is difficult to showcase the quality of paintings, pictures and mirrors in a photograph, this needs a personal visit.

Several regular customers collect shell items so I hope they see these shadow boxes. On the back wall above the stacked pictures and frames, they are 8.00 and 10.00.

For all of you animal lovers out there, here are lots of collectibles in a range of prices. The best part is, none of them need heartworm or flea prevention or even litter boxes!

Ok, they let Hendricks think you are shopping just to keep him in this lifestyle, but you are actually helping lots of shelter animals. Four adult cats live at the thrift store and there are usually kittens in foster cages for adoption;100% of the proceeds benefit dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, even reptiles at times.

At times people will say "Is that cat real?" Hendricks says "Don't get between me and the food bowl or you will get hurt" :)

 This ringneck parakeet was adopted recently at CAP. Birds and bunnies require not only dry food but fresh veggies as well.

Anna is undergoing expensive heartworm treatment before adoption. Unlike many other shelters and rescues, CAP arranges for experienced foster homes and treatment so adopters are not faced with a sick dog and  expenses. Your donations and shopping at the CAP thrift store supports this extensive work.

The 3rd Thursday of the month is 1/2 price day. That's today! That's almost everything in the store-just a few exceptions. Check it out.

NEW Ethan Allen King and Queen Duvets at CAP Thrift Store

 Ethan Allen furniture has been a regular and generous donor to the thrift store of fine items for the home. Their latest donation is an beautiful assortment of  new Queen duvet sets. These range in price from 1600.00 to 2300.00 new, but at CAP thrift they are between 275.00 and 300.00!

Each set has a different assortment of shams. bed skirts, etc. included. The original price is on all of the sets.
There are more sets available as well. There is not enough space in the shop for me to take each one out for photographs, they are even prettier in person than I can capture here.



The above Queen duvet is the softest ultrasuede, what a smooth feeling. With tiny black dots embedded in a white base, I can see red or turquoise accents completing this luxurious bedding set.



This is a soft gold Queen duvet and 4 shams  for sale. The below detail shows the texturing.

As a sports fan I can see black pillows with the gold ensemble making this a great Pittsburgh Steelers themed set, balanced enough for both a man and a woman! The original price was 1690.00

This is a king sized ensemble, also not too foofoo for a man:) The above right piece is the bed skirt. (the pink thingie on the lower right is not part of the set)

Save LOTS on Prom dresses at CAP thrift store!

Just in time for the Prom, CAP thrift store has a wide variety of both long and short dresses.

The best part is that none of the dresses featured here are over 50.00! Some are as low at 20.00.
There are some slinky shoes to go with them as well.



Since the thrift has moved into its new space in the same shopping center and jazzed things up a bit, there are now even 2 dressing rooms, so no guessing if something fits. The employees will also give you their opinion if you give them the chance:)


100% of the proceeds go to benefit the animals at Citizens for Animal Protection. This includes not just dogs and cats, but bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs and small birds.
